BOMA NEW YORK ANNOUNCES NEW OFFICERS WITH PAT DOLAN OF THE DURST ORGANIZATION AS ITS NEW CHAIR

NEW YORK, NY (February 5, 2024) BOMA New York, the City’s most influential commercial real estate trade organization, is proud to announce that Patrick J. Dolan, RPA, Senior Property Manager at The Durst Organization and head of operations at One World Trade Center is the new Chair of BOMA New York.

Mr. Dolan has been a member of BOMA New York since 2000 and has served as an Officer for the past six years. Mr. Dolan is also on the Executive Committee of Caring to Remember, served on the Board of Directors for Hearts to Homes, and is an ardent supporter of CaringKind, The Heart of Alzheimer's Caregiving. He also served in the US Marines, stationed in the Western Pacific for four years.

Mr. Dolan said, “I am in the problem-solving business. My training in the Marine Corp taught me the importance and impact of good leadership and prepared me to tackle any obstacle.” He continued, “BOMA New York has been an integral part of my career. I thank Matt Duthie for his diligence as Chair, and I am both honored and excited to be Chair of BOMA New York during a critical time in the commercial real estate industry.”

Matt Duthie, RPA, Senior Vice President of Property Management at Newmark was the Chair of BOMA New York from 2021-2023 and oversaw a host of successes during his tenure including but not limited to, attraction and retention of over 900 BOMA New York Members; production of the first annual Proptech Expo & Seminar; accomplished the highest attended Pinnacle Awards for two years in a row; and merged the Long Island BOMA chapter into BOMA New York.

Mr. Duthie said, “Pat is a born leader. His dedication to his profession is evident by his robust appreciation of the full career lifecycle in CRE, and his passion to mentor the future leaders of our industry. He is going to be a great Chair of BOMA New York.”

The Durst Organization is a leader in the development of sustainable buildings having built the first green office tower, One Five One West 42nd Street, the first LEED Platinum skyscraper, One Bryant Park, and the largest LEED Gold building in the world, One World Trade Center.

Thomas Duffe, Chief Operating Officer of The Durst Organization, said, “At One World Trade Center, Pat Dolan manages the tallest building in the western hemisphere. Overseeing three million square feet, he leads his team with expertise and dedication, and always finds time to mentor the next generation. BOMA is fortunate to have him as Chair to continue their important work partnering with property managers, engineers, and tenants.”

BOMA New York will stay true to its mission via an active calendar of events, with a focus on networking, information sharing, education, and advocacy. As Chair of BOMA New York, Mr. Dolan, alongside BOMA New York’s ten committees, will examine market trends related to the operation and growth of the CRE industry, explore the possibilities of proptech, activate decarbonization and renewable energy solutions, promote the importance of life safety issues, work with the mayor’s office, city departments and agencies on industry legislative issues related to building codes and regulations, attract new membership, and highlight industry thought leaders.
